IO Essentials: Scholarship Program Sponsorship Opportunities
SIO invites fellows and residents-in-training to attend the SIO meeting through an annual scholarship program funded by SIO and industry partners. The scholarship offers residents and medical students a complimentary or discounted rate to attend the meeting. Companies are invited to sponsor this scholarship program via the following levels:
IO Essentials Premier Level
$31,500 (3 Max Slots Available)
Sponsors of the IO Essentials program at the premier level are offered one 90-minute didactic/hands-on session with scholarship recipients. Sponsorship benefits include:
- 1:1 interaction with scholarship recipients during your 90-minute session
- Floor cling placed in front of your booth to let attendees know you are sponsoring the event
- Recognition on walk-in slides, via the meeting app, on signage and on the SIO website
- Participation in early career booth walk through
IO Essentials Gold Level
$25,000 (2 Max Slots Available)
Sponsors of the IO Essentials program at the gold level are offered one 60-minute didactic/hands-on dedicated session with scholarship recipients. Sponsorship benefits include:
- 1:1 interaction with scholarship recipients during your 60-minute session
- Floor cling placed in front of your booth to let attendees know you are sponsoring the event
- Recognition on walk-in slides, via the meeting app, on signage and on the SIO website
- Participation in early career booth walk through
IO Essentials Early Career Lounge

The IO Essentials Early Career Lounge, a dedicated space on the exhibit hall floor, will offer SIO's early career registrants the opportunity to network with physicians leaders and other early career attendees throughout the SIO Annual Meeting. Sponsorship provides recognition of support on signage in the lounge, in the meeting app and on all promotions of the lounge.

IO Essentials Networking/Social Event

Sponsor a Thursday evening event attended by the SIO IO Essentials Early Career program attendees. SIO will assist in promotion of the event to scholarship recipients. Sponsoring company is responsible for venue selection and associated costs, including venue rental and food and beverage.
Lunch Symposia
$36,500
Educational symposia provide opportunities for companies to present live, non-accredited educational sessions that highlight a new therapy or product to SIO attendees. Sponsor a 45-minute afternoon symposium. Includes (1) Push-Notification, Listing in website program and Mobile App, and advertisement in attendee daily meeting notification. Food and beverage provided by SIO. Lunch offered is a boxed lunch.
Breakfast Symposia

Dosimetry Workshops
$26,250
Two 90-minute workshops will offer attendees an overview of basic and advanced dosimetry techniques in glass and resin techniques, led by expert faculty, followed by hands-on training in dosimetry calculation. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice calculating external and internal radiation dose, radiation dosimetry techniques, and practical applications of dosimetry software led by physician proctors. Attendees will gain an understanding of the importance and necessity of dosimetry standardization in radiation therapy.
Breast Cryo Mini MasterClass

This comprehensive half-day program will offer attendees education on the basics of ablative therapies, practical how-to information for breast cancer treatment, advanced concepts, and must-know information for multidisciplinary tumor boards through didactic presentations and hands-on training led by expert faculty from the fields of surgical oncology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, mammography, and interventional radiology.
Topics covered will include:
- Basic cryoablation and thermoprotective techniques
- Current staging system in breast cancer treatment
- Key elements to pre-ablation imaging
- Overview of fundamental techniques in breast cryoablation
- Indications for breast cancer cryoablation and what lesions should be ablated

- Post-ablation imaging: algorithm and imaging findings
- Patient follow-up in breast cryoablation: managing complications

Advisory Board
$20,000
Advisory group sponsorship offers the opportunity to bring together a panel of physician experts, including key opinion leaders, to explore critical questions and issues in the field with our industry partners. This opportunity includes custom panel composition, roundtable discussions, strategy, advising, and other format options for key dialogue. SIO will help with physician recruitment and scheduling and provide a meeting room for the advisory group. Physician honorarium and food/beverage not included in sponsorship.
Head and Neck Masterclass
$15,000
This half-day masterclass on ablative treatments for head & neck tumors will incorporate surgery and medical oncology in combination with interventional radiology to give participants a comprehensive experience on oncologic treatment of head and neck tumors. A dedicated hands-on session will allow participants to learn the nuances of each ablative modality. The course includes topics on patient selection, preparation, complications and mitigating actions. Dedicated lectures on practice building, business development and interdisciplinary approach are included, and the masterclass will close with an all-inclusive tumor-board moderated by experts.

SIO Young Investigator Fellowship Award
$10,000 (Exclusive)
Support this fellowship award that offers an individual a travel stipend and complimentary registration to the SIO 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting, plus funding to support the start of a research project under the guidance of a mentor.
Discovery Theater Bite-Size Sessions

This hands-on experience follows a dedicated didactic session on the subject of robotics, navigation, guidance and confirmation, providing participants with a comprehensive overview and experience with these hardware/software systems. With an awareness of future trends and the value of technology for the future of cancer care, this course will provide beginners and advanced practitioners alike a broad overview of these systems, as well as specific hands-on training throughout this comprehensive program.
